Observe these fresh, fun upcycled pendants. Observe them closely.
I love them, what do you guys think? The base of each pendant is a re-purposed wooden domino. The beads are chalk turquoise, carved wood and pressed glass.
So here's the challenge: identify those happy, stripey overlays. Who can guess what they used to be?
First person to guess correctly will receive a fabulous prize! (Namely, your choice of one of these purty necklaces.)
How it works: leave your guess in the comments. There'll be two winners:
first correct guess and a random winner. That's right, I
said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think
someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still
win. If your guess is funny, it might make my Most
Creative Honor Roll.
This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere. C'mon, join in!

Barbie's wakeboard! Seriously though, these could be my most favorite upcycle youve done yet!!
ReplyDeleteThe side of a mini pinball machine? Do they make those? These are really fun!
ReplyDeleteOh geeze...I don't even have a guess...but they are both really pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fabulous 60's linoleum for a Totally Mod Barbie dreamhouse!
ReplyDeleteWell aren't those the cutest! Hmm. If I blur my eyes, the horizontal one looks like an EKG on a color monitor.
ReplyDeleteEither some sort of platic file / binder... or... a plastic box for colourful tiger stripes!
ReplyDelete(Yes, I am working way too long today ^^)
I think its a domino game or a child xylophone the music instrument they have that kind of think that play the music
ReplyDeleteThey look really great I am thinking plastic files or binders or those plastic growth chart things.
ReplyDeleteRubber Duckie's Surf Board or a Plastic Placemat? OR..You were running to the Dollar Store 2 minutes before closing time, you tripped, and skinned your knee..poor thing. Your cellphone fell out of your hand and cracked onto the pavement. Before you could say "I need a Bandaid" you thought of a way to upcycle your cellphone case into a beautiful pendant and confused us more with those 4 screwy things (huh?) in the corners.
ReplyDeleteSaw some cute fishy squirt toys at the store that had similar stripes...
DeleteA plastic spiral notebook cover! Or... a merry-go-round border from the flea circus. Definitely one of them.! Great, great necklace! (Denapage at gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteOn 32nd look, it may be a slap bracelet. (Still Denapage at gmail.com)
DeleteSoooo pretty! This is probably too simple, but I'm going to guess that they were placemats.
ReplyDeleteThe stripey overlays used to be nail files....or teeny modern art
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how people can actually figure these out...Fun and quirky.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I think I've got it...Pikachu's lamented hair-cut clippings. Er...Right?

Hi dear,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful pendant & the color is so fresh, seems like spring is coming your way <3 so cool.. but I dont have any valid guess really ;p may be this is any wrapper of anything or may be any toy crap cuttings etc..
Hmm... I'm thinking they are part of a deconstructed plastic drinking cup. What do you say, eh? So pretty and bright!
ReplyDeleteLove the piece. My guess is a flexible chopping mat!

I love these necklaces, they're so bright and fun! I'm going to guess that the yellow overlay pieces are from old yellow sunglasses, with stripes painted on?
ReplyDeleteIt's an electrical component. I want to say "resistor" but that's probably wrong. But it's part of the old style circuit boards. heather.bungardjanney@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI think someone may have it with the school supplies! They would be great sun visors for the car for the smurfs - nice and colorful like they are!!! Otherwise, NO CLUE!

You skinned a plastic tiger! : )

The fancy bottom of a used gift card. I think I remember seeing one kinda like this where the stripey bits were the bottom of stylized birthday candles. mrs.miuraaguinaldo at gmail dot com
