Guess The Mystery Thing: Happy Stripey Pendants.

Huzzah, it's another Guess The Mystery Thing challenge!  (If you are new here, it's my giveaway guessing game - everyone is invited, so put on your thinky cap and let's play.)

 Observe these fresh, fun upcycled pendants.  Observe them closely.
I love them, what do you guys think?  The base of each pendant is a re-purposed wooden domino.  The beads are chalk turquoise, carved wood and pressed glass.

So here's the challenge: identify those happy, stripey overlays.  Who can guess what they used to be?



First person to guess correctly will receive a fabulous prize!  (Namely, your choice of one of these purty necklaces.)




How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There'll be two winners: first correct guess and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win.  If your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

    Rubber Duckie's Surf Board or a Plastic Placemat? OR..You were running to the Dollar Store 2 minutes before closing time, you tripped, and skinned your knee..poor thing. Your cellphone fell out of your hand and cracked onto the pavement. Before you could say "I need a Bandaid" you thought of a way to upcycle your cellphone case into a beautiful pendant and confused us more with those 4 screwy things (huh?) in the corners.

    What a beautiful pendant & the color is so fresh, seems like spring is coming your way <3 so cool.. but I dont have any valid guess really ;p may be this is any wrapper of anything or may be any toy crap cuttings etc..

    I love these necklaces, they're so bright and fun! I'm going to guess that the yellow overlay pieces are from old yellow sunglasses, with stripes painted on?

    I think someone may have it with the school supplies! They would be great sun visors for the car for the smurfs - nice and colorful like they are!!! Otherwise, NO CLUE!

    The fancy bottom of a used gift card. I think I remember seeing one kinda like this where the stripey bits were the bottom of stylized birthday candles. mrs.miuraaguinaldo at gmail dot com
