The challenge: identify the mysterious secret ingredient in these upcycled jewels.
I know they kinda look like springtime, and yes, it's December...but fiddle-dee-dee. I like cherry blossoms and pink.
Also cherry blossoms and yellow.
So, think you know this one? What are those dainty pink and yellow shapes? Hint: they are not from any type of hardware or home improvement store.
First person to guess correctly will receive a fabulous prize! (Namely, your choice of one of these jewels.)
How it works: leave your guess in the comments. There'll be two winners:
first correct guess and a random winner. That's right, I
said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think
someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still
win. If your guess is funny, it might make my Most
Creative Honor Roll.
This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere. C'mon, join in!

The clippy part of foam hair rollers!!!
ReplyDeleteIs it some sort of baby toy rings?
ReplyDeleteIt has to be the insides of a foam roller.
ReplyDeleteOr a trapeze ring for a circus barbie.
What did you do with the little plastic games pieces you had to remove? You know, the ones that had to be torn off these frames because the factory can't do it for you?
ReplyDeleteHola ,felicidades me gustan mucho tanto los pendientes como la pulsera ....Yo creo que el materia secreto es el palito de los chupa-chus.
ReplyDeleteOK, these are the tubes that they put in little kids' ears when they have ear problems! : )

barbie's necklaces...she's going to be really mad that you took them!

Jessica, I think you got this one!!!!
ReplyDeleteMich, you said it wasn't from a hardware or home improvement store, but there's always that feed store you sometimes frequent. So my guess is that they are nose rings for Miss Piggy.
the kitchen sets or tiny house components of Barbie dolls/other dolls come in detachable frames..it looks like that
ReplyDeleteI'm too late with the hair rollers guess, but I thought the pink ones also look a lot like the poles for the sails you use to assemble the pirate ships/sail boats from Kinder Surprise eggs... I just realized you're in the states where they're illegal though, so probably not... lisa_worden@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI think the pink ones anyway are Barbies Thigh-master!!! LOL! crafteeladee82@aol.com
ReplyDeleteMy guess is the little plastic thingys that are attached to EVERY barbie/doll/game piece from the factory. Or.....ladybug swings!

The pink ones are dried out martian arms dipped in peptobismol. Ideal for jewelry-making. Quite rare. Obviously acquired on the black market. And the yellow ones are not even plastic. But often mistaken as such. In fact, they are melted-down canary feathers molded into these plastic-like Aladdin hat shapes and/or sticks. Pretty common stuff really.
ReplyDeleteWell I was going to say foam curler clips but jessica read my mind and stole my guess from me!! LOL So now I guess I have no choice but to go with a different choice and I think there are a few flamingos missing their legs and somewhere out there is a rubber duck wondering where the sillouette to his beak went - he won't be happy you turned it into a shrinky dink!

This is more 'disturbing' than 'the end of the world' problem!!! Did you get this for the Maya? Gosh..... It's that the toothpick....The 'THE toothpick' by the "THE ONE' who predict the 'THE END of the world day'?....
ReplyDeleteThey're part of pink curlers!
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to tell you how frightened I am right now...what kind of person makes jewelry out of cat gynecological supplies??? This is WRONG, Mich, and you know it!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it's been a long time, but they look like the snap bars from those horrible foam curlers my grandmother wore to the grocery store. They look a lot cuter as jewelry.
Yellow and pink hair curler parts. I've often thought of making them into jewelry.
