Guess The Mystery Thing: Green Is The Color...

Hellooo, my friends!  It is time!  Shall we play a new round of Guess The Mystery Thing?  (It's my crafty guessing game giveaway, and everyone is invited.)  Take a good look at my newly invented, offbeat flower necklace...

Like it?

Made some earrings, too...

Your challenge: identify the mysterious secret ingredient in this upcycled jewelry project.  What are those bright, bold kelly green circles?

First person to guess correctly wins a fabulous prize.  (Namely, your choice of one of these jewels.)

How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There'll be two winners: first correct guess, and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win.  If your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.  C'mon, join in!

THE ONE AND ONLY RULE

1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS.  (Fun fact: if you only THINK your email is visible in your profile, it probably isn't.)

Ready?  Set!  Guess the Mystery Thing!

  1. Those long thin balloons that clowns make into animals, but deflated and rolled down over themselves into doughnut shapes, and you pricked the end to make the doughnut "hole".

  2. They are cheerio bands for a cheerio bander, they get put on a bull calves scrotum. Eww. I actually know one! Hehe! The advantages of living on a farm. You can also use them to cut short the tail.

  3. They look a lot like doughnut beads I had from a plastic bead mix-set. Although I have to say that if Ashley up there is correct then this city girl says "ewwww . . ." ^_^

I'll go for the fantastical answer and pray for the random. They are swimming floaties for fairies when they get their wings wet, since wet fairies can't fly.

  4. They are leprechaun doughnuts.

  5. moldy cheerios! but I agree with Moira, they look like the end of the balloons.

  6. They must be those thingies that you drop in water and watch them expand. Yes, they're floating devices for your pool.

  7. Squishy, rubbery, ouchless ponytail "rubber" bands.

  9. These are colorful key identifiers from hardware or home depot stores. They are usually a bit flat but these are more round. They could be washers or pads too

  11. geez, Mich... that's strong even for YOU. A castrating band turned flower necklace? Really?? And don't even ask how I know. I just hope your poor little doggy is hiding somewhere :)

  13. Nearly all the ideas I had were already mentioned in the comments, but some I ruled out.
Clearly not hemorrhoid rings for fairies: they're brown, not green.
Could be their flotation devices as they come in an array of colors... these might have been from their national airline: Faery Lingus.
I seriously considered Life Savers/Polos (green apple flavor), but man, summer time and candy against your skin??? Recipe for a disaster.
The castration rings NEVER entered my mind! But thanks to LL and Ashley, they'll never leave my mind now.
I also thought about rolled up balloon ends, but I didn't see any traces of blood from the injuries rolling his many balloon ends would inevitably cause.
My final answer: Lacquered Froot Loops!
BTW, LOVE the necklace and earrings and LOVE the sidewalk-chalk background!!
