Guess The Mystery Thing: See Anemone, Wear Anemone.

Huzzah!  Time to play a new round of Guess The Mystery Thing!  (If you're new around here, it's my crafty giveaway game, open to all.)  The challenge: identify the mysterious secret ingredient in my latest upcycled jewelry project.

See anemone?

That's the look I was going for, anyway.

I hear some grumbling in the cheap seats.  "Kinda strange."  "Really yellow."  "Bumply."  I agree, they're a little bit out there.  But interesting, right?  And they look really cute on.

So tell me - what are those bumply yellow things?  (Note: I'm pretty sure more than one person will deduce this - so be specific in your answer!  The prize will go to the first person to mention the exact Mystery Thing, not just a category.)

First person to guess correctly wins a fabulous prize.  (Namely, your choice of one of these sea anemone jewels.)

How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There'll be two winners: first correct guess, and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win.  And if your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.  C'mon, join in!

THE ONE AND ONLY RULE

1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS.  (Fun fact: if you only THINK your email is visible in your profile, it probably isn't.)

Ready?  Set!  Guess the Mystery Thing!

UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED.  CHECK MY NEXT POST FOR THE REVEAL - THANKS FOR PLAYING, EVERYONE!

  3. Dang it. I was too late. It is a squishy ball with points. Le sigh. Well...it is part of a wig that you had back in the 70's and it used to be day glo orange and it is now faded to light yellow. Funky!

  4. Or a squishy ball with points that humans play with. I don't think these are the doggie kind.

  15. I think it's some eggcrate memory foam, possibly from a pillow?

  16. It's a squishy sensory toy, the kind that gives deep pressure and tactile input. Hope that after stealing it from a kid who didn't have candy to steal, you washed the drool off it because it feels good on the gums, too! I'm kidding... I know you paid a child for this by plying him with candy. Denapage at gmail.com

  20. It's definitely a foamy pad to keep moisture from forming beneath sumptious strawberries or blueberries!

  21. It's already been guessed but it does look like one of those hedgehog-shaped doggy toys. Then again, since Easter has just passed and you may have gotten it on the clearance aisle, it could be a bunny or chick-shaped doggy toy. Either way, it's really cute. Good job, as always!

  22. Dryer balls! Which is a weird phrase to say alone, so let me elaborate on what I'm referring to - plastic balls that are thrown in a dryer to fluff clothes in lieu of a dryer sheet. =D

  23. An udder from Barbie's genetically engineered cow who produces only butterscotch flavored milk

  25. It's one of those funky, spiky, strechy things that you pull over your head. They come in gloves to. I had a full set a few years ago.

  26. Fantastic Congratulations! You stole the macaroni and cheese from the cafeteria! Years ago in a land far away, the notorious school system(and the first lady) decided that students should no longer have a favorite subject. And from that day on.... There was no such thing as a delicious school lunch. High pitched scream, fog, lights go out.

  28. I agree (and probably am too late to be one of the fabulous top 2 to win!) that it's pieces parts fashioned into dooflickies from dryer ball! Ladiemaus@aol.com

  29. okokok....I got a second guess- is is a portion of a tremendously large toy for a hugenormous dog that leaves the even gigantiously sized "gifts" in your yard?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Drier ball or a squeeze toy - not that I will win - so I won't be specific!!

  31. LOVE, Love all the comments, especially the high-pitched scream, fog, and drumroll by Ashley for the macaroni!

Of course, I have a purple assortment like this which I use to brush my kittie's fur, so whoever wins this beautiful adornment, that would be another use for it, multi-purpose...however, I know you have dogs, and unless Peaches sent you a kittie toy.... Still...love it.
