Guess the Mystery Thing: Framed!

Hi, all!  Ready for a righteous new round of Guess The Mystery Thing?  The challenge: identify the mysterious secret ingredient in my new upcycled jewelry project.   Take a look:

What are those tiny, teeny, itty, bitty white frames?

Hint: they are really small - in this photo you can see the scale:

First person to guess it wins a fabulous prize!  (Namely, whichever is your favorite of these a picture frame jewels.)

How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There'll be two winners: first correct guess, and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win.  And if your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.  C'mon, join in!

THE ONE AND ONLY RULE

1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS.  (Fun fact: if you only THINK your email is visible in your profile, it probably isn't.)

Okay, people, let's do this.  Guess The Mystery Thing!!!

  1. They look like the Dritz square plastic covered button forms, with the backside facing out.

  2. I'm going to say they're little light diffusers, either from nightlights or push buttons. I don't think I'm right, but gosh I hope I am, because that seahorse necklace! Too cute!

  3. Barbie's engaged to Ken and she has just registered her favorite white dinner plates that she's always dreamed of. They also look like the tabs you put under furniture or other things to prevent scratching the surface they are on.

  4. They are too small or I would have said they look like furniture gliders.

  5. They almost look like tiles from those sliding puzzles :)

  8. I think stitchinwitch is right. They are the pieces from those horrid puzzles with the scrambled tiles. I have never been able to finish one of those. Ever.

  15. Nightstand trays from the Polly Pocket Holiday Inn. So obvious.

  16. I think they look like the little caps that slide into the tops of mini-blinds... you know, to hide the inner workings of the blind-pull... know what I mean?

Well that's my guess and I'm about 0.05% confident about it 'cause you're just too wily! :)

  17. Hey, JHill... Agreed and ditto.

I hate when I'm late to the party. I'm 99% sure they're the scramble puzzles (though I've been 99% sure before and been wrong).

And I love puzzles. Love them. HATE these sliding puzzles, have also never, ever, ever finished one without popping out the pieces and putting them back where they belong.

So Mich, I seriously hope that these are those sliding puzzle tiles and that you've finally found a use for them besides driving reasonably intelligent puzzlers crazy. If so, I may be able to lower my rage-controlling meds. :-D

They look like the white plastic adhesive hangers that they sell at the dollar store. They come in different small sizes. You just cut off the hook part. Hope I am right.
