Ooh, time for a brand new round of Guess The Mystery Thing! One for the romantics among you. (In case you're new here, Guess The Mystery Thing is a jewelry giveaway game that tests your wits, street smarts and crafty intuition.) Take a look at my new upcycled necklace, featuring a diminutive Captive Cupid:
What, oh, what is the mysterious transparent prison, in which I have ensnared this cute little cherub?
First person to guess it wins a fabulous prize! (Namely, a Captive Cupid necklace.)
How it works: leave your guess in the comments. There'll be two winners: first correct guess, and a random winner. That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win. And if your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.
This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere. C'mon, join in!
THE ONE AND ONLY RULE
1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS. (Fun fact: if you only THINK your email is visible in your profile, it probably isn't.)
Okay, all you romantics - ready? Annnnnd...Guess The Mystery Thing!
UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS FOR PLAYING, EVERYBODY! CHECK THE NEXT POST TO SEE THE REVEAL!

ReplyDeleteIs it a bubble bottle - like the kind you wear around your neck, or give away at a wedding? That's romantic!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
It's a cocoon produced by an extremely rare see-through caterpillar.
ReplyDeletea tiny light bulb?
ReplyDeleteOooh I think it is a miniature magic ball like the one David Bowie had in Labyrinth.

ReplyDeleteThis necklace is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIs it a clear, glass, flat sided, marble thingamajig?
gah, i think you've got me again... I haven't the froggiest idear. Is it the packaging that comes with those fake press-on nails cause that's what it looks like from where I'm standing!

ReplyDeleteiswarthout@hotmail.coom
I agree I'm thinking pacifier as well! None the less....clever and stunning!
ReplyDeleteI thought it looked like the tip of a pacifier too!!!
ReplyDeletelisa_worden@hotmail.com
A (giant)baby pacifier??
ReplyDeleteThe stone reminds me of a "worry stone" I bought a couple years ago. As for the metal thing on top, I have no clue. Maybe a jewelry finding of some kind?
ReplyDeletektscomer@att.net
I have a flash drive cover that looks a lot like that.

You've been cutting up the plastic spoons again, haven't you???? Now, what will we do with all the extra handles??????? Use them as stakes?
ReplyDeleteajp2020@charter.net
I believe it may be the glass part of a Christmas light. You must be VERY careful when taking the metal top off and inserting the cupid not to cut yourself. But it's worth it for the beautiful result.
ReplyDeleteIt could also be a petrified tear from Tinkerbell.
The brilliant Michele strikes again!!
ReplyDeletePrincess Ariel's swim cap, the Little Chinese Seamstress's thimble, or one of Dolly Parton doll's boobs..oops, I guess they aren't sagging yet...But please release captive cupid before Valentine's Day because we all want valentines!
ReplyDeletelungelady1@gmail.com
I think its a melted bottle for dog or cat flee meds. A bottom of a spoon sounds like a good answer to me.
ReplyDeleteI think it is hot glue from a hot glue gun. lgm7196@aol.com
ReplyDeleteThat strip of snot-consistency glue that attaches a credit card to direct marketing useless verbage in your junk mail. And if it isn't, I hope you make jewelry from it eventually, because I'll be ready with my guess.
ReplyDeleteswooshbyscrollwork@gmailcom
clear epoxy resin- big ol' dollop of it
ReplyDeletemlargaespada.ml@gmail.com
Oh that is pretty. I'm thinking of the plastic stretchy ring covering the ear piece of cellphone earphones.
ReplyDeleteI think you cheated and used your secret stash of lovely clear glass cupid prisons. Someone has to keep them locked up all year!

Bite guard or cover for razor.
