Whee! I think it's time for a brand new round of GUESS THE MYSTERY THING! Anyone can play. Yes, anyone! Just take a gander at my latest upcycled necklace:
And see if you can guess the mysterious secret ingredient. In this case, the oddly shaped, semi-flowery, silvery base of the pendant. What is that doohick? I know some of you will recognize it...especially, perhaps, some of my European readers. It's sort of an Old World Mystery Thing.
How it works: Leave your guess in the comments. There will be two winners: first correct guess and one random guess. That's right, a random winner! So even if you're stumped, guess anyway - you could still win.
This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere. (You don't even have to be a follower of the blog, although I would lurve it if you were.)
The one and only rule:
1. If your email isn't available in one click from an online profile, be sure to include your email address with your guess.

Looks like a drip catcher for a candle. Especially if it was made for the very tiny and skinny kind of candle.
ReplyDeleteCould it be one of the jingles from a tambourine?
ReplyDeleteIt's a thing with which to clip candles onto a Christmas tree. I'm quite sure of that because I use them every Christmas. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a tiny ashtray to me.
ReplyDeleteSorry I miss the last post..Hmm.. this look something like a bottle cap? Or a special sea shell use by mermaid for their compact powder?
ReplyDeleteit looks like a saucer that fits on a Christmas tree candle clip to prevent the wax from dripping all over the tree . In Europe they still used real candles on their trees. (with close supervision of course)
ReplyDeleteif not that then a really big bead cap

ReplyDeleteIt's a reflector for a small light bulb. We used to have some on our Christmas tree lights.
ReplyDeleteSatellite dish for a dollhouse.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the foil liner from the little tart like candles.

ReplyDeleteFoiled jellyfish? How cruel! And those tassel "tentacles" just add insult to injury.
ReplyDeleteit's definitely a reflector for Christmas tree candle or ligth, but that's already been guessed so...
ReplyDeleteI say its a jock cup for a leprechaun, hiding a pot of gold is dangerous work...
Is it bottle cap of some sort?
ReplyDeleteMaybe a bottle cap or a wee eschutcheon...or
