Hi, you guys! Yay yay yay, it's time to put on your thinky caps. Because here comes another round of that whacky guessing game challenge, Guess the Mystery Thing and Win Because it's Flowery and Cute and You Want One and Because It's April Already and When Did That Happen and It's Been a Long Time Since You Won a Giveaway and If Not Now, When, and If Not You, Who?
Guess the Mystery Thing for short.
Look, I made these little flower necklaces...
What are those round crystal domes? Hint: not actually crystal.
There will be two winners: first correct guess and one random winner. If nobody gets it right, there will be two random winners. So even if you're stumped, guess anyway, you could still win! (And I hope there will be lots of goofy comments, as usual - the silliness of my readers is always more than half the fun!)
The rules:
1. Open to anyone, anywhere. (You don't even have to be a follower of the blog, although I would lurve it if you were!)
2. If your email isn't available in one click from an online profile, be sure to include your email address with your guess. Here we go, people...Guess the Mystery Thing!!!!
THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS, EVERYBODY!
the lid to those lip balm things they sell at dollar tree?
ReplyDeleteHot dang this is a hard one! Is it a faucet top? Second guess is a salt and pepper pot. Do I get a third guess? This is going to haunt me!
ReplyDeleteI honestly do not have a clue, but my guess is a bouncy ball cut in half. Can't wait to find out what it really is! Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteThese look good enough to eat, so my guess is: rock candy crystals made from authentic antique molds salvaged from the Ming dynasty period.
ReplyDeleteIt's some sort of intergalactic space crystal. No? OK I got nuthin.
ReplyDeleteClueless...
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm going to have to be in the random drawing... only thing I can think of is a stopper for a bottle. It is a mystery!!! I think you may have us stumped this time.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is but it looks very Hello Kitty to me.
ReplyDeleteThey look like clear Easter egg halves to me. How neat to turn them into a fishbowl-ish domey thing!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking those rubber thingies that you put under furniture so it doesn't skid on the floor.
ReplyDeleteSophie
hmmmm I think you have cut them out of something.. they look like they are a small part of a larger item - I know!
ReplyDeleteThey're the nipples off of a cosmic cow statue, the flowers are the pasties she's wearing for modesty, yup, gotta keep it kid friendly here on the interweb.
Oh and you know my email,
goddess of geek
Ruth
Um, I'm going to say the lid to a very very small pot of lip gloss. Maybe?
ReplyDeleteLooks like the top of a salt shaker

Mh... I am so bad as guessing things ^^
ReplyDeleteIt looks like something which would be used with sweets... some little candy boxes? Saftey storage for lollipops?
I really don't know, but they are soooo pretty. I'm going to guess a coin case. You know, the things you keep collectible coins in. That's what it reminds me of anyway.
ReplyDeleteabrowning_504@yahoo.com
Is it a wicked uncomfortable diaphragm?
ReplyDeleteThey look like *crap* (the word just zoomed out of my brain) ... ummm chair leg caps maybe? They look like there was more to them and they were cut down. *sigh* chair caps. that's my guess.
ReplyDeleteEither part of a lip gloss case or half of a teeny tiny hamster exercise ball.
ReplyDeletetop to salt and pepper shaker
ReplyDeleteThey look like salt and pepper shaker tops
ReplyDeleteOr tops to a pencil sharpener?
Or ta ta covers.
It's Barbie's salad bowl!
ReplyDeleteObviously.
>.>
Yeah, I have no idea, haha!
I love this game! I guess antique perfume bottle lids. They are so pretty.

I have no idea what you made them from but I adore the necklaces! Oh, tassels get me every time. Come to think of it, maybe the domes are from a baby chew toy? The water filled kind.
ReplyDeletehmmm...top of salt n pepper shaker or the plastic sphere in which you get jellys...wat the heck for all I know you probably went to mars to borrow one of the eye covers of the martians....
ReplyDeleteHello!! Your nesclaces are beutiful!! I don´t know the material but I thik it is a small box.
ReplyDeleteSaluts :)
huh, I love this it is very tricky,
ReplyDeletei could see few small hole on the crystal. so i think its salt n pepper shaker top.
or bottom piece of small size bowl/bottle
OH. MAN. It's clearly.... um. Something I've never seen before. :] Maybe I'll be a random winner! haha
ReplyDeleteginnykathleen@msn.com
I think it is a rubber boll, which is very bouncy...well its my poor guess, but its looking awesome..totally lovely.. :)
ReplyDeleteIs something from Barbie's world!!!!my be they were her summer shopping bag!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are the flowery buttons from the particle accelerator nearest you. Definitely. If you were accelerating particles all day, wouldn't you want some lovely buttons to press? It's not even a question.
ReplyDeleteCould it be cut out of the side of one of those cute little bottles you slide up in a plug in air freshener? Very cute anyway.
ReplyDeleteIts the main part from those plastic rattles in the baby section that you use as decorations on tables at baby showers.
ReplyDeleteNew to the blog, but I'm completely addicted!!! This game is so fun!
ReplyDeleteSalt and pepper shaker tops, perhaps?

Is iiiiiiit an egg thing from a vending machine that comes with a toy inside?
ReplyDeleteYou found the Ken dolls party yarmulkas! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, I think they are some sort of fancy bottle cap
ReplyDeletepinkrose6785@hotmail.com

These are from baby rattle shower favors from Dollar Tree. ^_^ I saw them today when I went looking for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh, both my guesses have been taken: salt shaker lids and half the plastic bubble those little toys come out of vending machines in. :( Bummer. Either way, I love the necklace you made with it, and tassels are very in this year - the magazines all say so. :) So you're trendy, and awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteEmily
My guess is that they are miniature Barbie doll bowls made of plastic. I used to have a Barbie dinnerware set with a lovely plastic punch bowl about like that.
ReplyDeleteThey are fairy jello molds - of course. Fairies love cute flower shaped jello for their fairy parties :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure what it is, but I know what it reminds me of. I'm an avid gamer, and I have a 100-sided die. One of the cats knocked it off a table and it broke in half along the seam, and it looked A LOT like the domes in this project... just geekier!

Looks like a clear plastic bezel from one of those light up magic wand toys or something.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, definitely pretty with the tassel below it. Now I want to make one even if I don't win.
They are hard contact lenses for My Little Ponies!
ReplyDeleteWell, it could be! :-)

They are part of a rubber/plastic shower mat? maybe? :)
