One last peek...
Okay people. Guess the Mystery Thing!
UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS, EVERYBODY!
Those rubber bracelets...I donno...
ReplyDeleteI think I recognize those. They are the "zippers" on plastic bags aka ziplocs? my email is floresfamily8@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteAre they the things that are inside of electronics? The things that send the "messages." The ribbon type pieces of stuff?
ReplyDeletebrookeannaroberts(at)yahoo(dot)com
Not a clue but whatever they are they look cool. They do look like the top of those zipped folders .
ReplyDeleteI was also going to guess the rubber bracelets.
ReplyDeleteBut whatever they are... I love them! They look great!
Thanks for linking up!
Hmm, are they pieces of plastic headbands?
ReplyDeleteZiplock bags zippies. I'm sure this time. Like positive. Absolutely 100% certain. I KNOW. If I'm wrong I'll make YOU something special. How's that for certainty?
ReplyDeleteskinny belts from the 60s????????????????
ReplyDeletejust a wild guess, they are really cute
skippythreewheels@yahoo.com
Definitely zip lock baggie zippery things. And you've used a couple different brands. And you could probably zip them up together if you wanted. Ha! that would be cute!
ReplyDeletePieces of fishing lures? If not they should be the next one!
ReplyDeleterengawk@gmail.com
I still owe you a post-it note on my head though :P
I thought they looked like those rubber bracelets, too. Whatever they are, they are awesomely colorful, and I want to make some!
ReplyDelete(I also want to know how you got the doodads hanging from them - the beads or whatever - to match so perfectly.)
I think they look like pieces of chewing gum. They look like strips of gum bent into shape and then lacquered to keep them from getting sticky. I sort of hope that they're not though.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking folder closer thingies... but I kinda like Anna's gum idea. hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI think they are a bajillion tiny little pieces of belly button lint, spray painted in neon colours, then glued together to make awesome jewelery :)
ReplyDeleteI love the necklace with the heart.
We haven't been to the fish tank in a while. How about some shrubbery that the fish would hide behind. Although, now that you have taken it and made some cool jewelry, it is quite sparse in the fish tank! Neat stuff!!! Hope I'm right? If not, then at least I'm creative....
ReplyDeleteAnne in NC
Hmmm, I guess I could cheat and print out a picture of these beauties and then head on over to the dollar store. I'd walk up to someone working there and ask them "where can I find something that looks like this."
ReplyDeleteI really don't know, those matching bead things kinda threw me off. They sure are cute though!!
I agree with Betsy- the matching beads were pretty impressive. As for my guess, having never seen a NuvaRing, I'm going to guess some sort of contraceptive. I *have* seen bright colored... other thingies... so perhaps..? Good grief! I better stop while I'm not so far behind!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I was wondering if it is something found in the electronics section. I was first wondering if it was the jelly cover for the ipod things that you cut up, but I'm not really sure. I love it though...
ReplyDeleteps.. completly.cold@gmail.com
Thanks!
Are those the zippy bits on ziploc plastic bags? Very cool looking. :3
ReplyDeletemidnight11393@gmail.com
they are so prefect with colour combo. they look like plastic wire, which is used to make basket, bag,doll,etc...We get them in India with different colours they are stiff and easy to bend as well
ReplyDeleteClear as day to me, this one. They are tracks for a My Little Pony railway toy set! They have to be soft so it doesn't hurt that much when the little princess whacks her annoying brother over the head with them, and the colour combo... well, it's My Little Pony, after all. I suppose you took the embellishments from the My little Pony Circus set?
ReplyDeleteThey are FLEA COLLARS! Yeah!
ReplyDeleterc18_87@hotmail.com
I think they're zip ties! thanks!
ReplyDeletewhitneybragg@gmail.com
Are they the strip you have to tear off just below the cap on the milk gallon/half gallon plastic containers? Regardless, you are so clever!
ReplyDeletecmhartling@gmail.com
FRUIT ROLL-UPS! Am I right? Yeah, I knew I was right. ;)
ReplyDeleteNo idea, but reading all the guesses is hilarious! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, some of the ideas are quite comical. I have looked at all the guesses and retracted my guess (skinny belts) because as I was sitting here at my little puter I spied my "zip lock" bag of puter snacks and I see it clearly now.
ReplyDeleteI guessed once already, but I'm guessing again.. Just a thought.. is it made from those plastic jump ropes? I remember having them as a kid and don't know if they still make them... but that would be pretty cool!!!
ReplyDeletecompletly.cold@gmail.com
After magnifying those suckers several times, I'm in agreement with the ziplock track theory.
ReplyDeleteI have to remember to check you late in the EST day. I could've had this one.
Those little tab thingies that hold the cap on the milk jug until you take it off?
ReplyDeletelbbk.jane@Yahoo.com
Oh my gosh, I have no idea, but I am laughing so hard! Nuvaring?!
